A larger seed than the black oil sunflowers but still just as valuable. Jays Woodpeckers and Grosbeaks are among the bigger birds although smaller birds will also take a crack at striped sunflowers. Sunflower seeds appeal to a wide variety of birds. Smaller seed-eating birds such as Chickadees & Finches enjoy this type of seed because the soft shell is easy to crack.
